Recommends it for: children starting to read chapter books
We love all things Scooby-Doo, so whenever we find a Scooby-Doo book we haven't read yet at our local library, we just have to borrow it.

We've been reading a lot of the books in the Scooby-Doo! Mysteries series. They are simple, fun, and we enjoy reading them together. Right now, our girls really like these short chapter books, but they also like the shorter picture books too. We've read about eightty of these stories, but there are so many more out there...I think we'll be having fun with thes

My eldest son Kile LOVES Scooby Doo. His siblings enjoy Scooby as well, but not to the level that Kile does. He loves to read the Scooby Doo Readers and watch the cartoons, old and new. He picked this book out from the Scholastic Book order before school ended and we read it over the summer. It doesn’t have many pictures, and appeared to be above Kile’s reading level. He was so enthused about the subject matter though that he dove in and read the book with me over the summer. Pirates are another ...more
