I respect and admire both Catherine Mann and Rachel Lee's careers.
I liked both stories, but I'm just making a note about Mann's romance ('Christmas at his Command'), about a mature couple.
Yes, Catherine Mann's story about longtime friends, widowers with adult children, falling in love in a a dangerous context, is really something that only Mann could do so brilliantly.
A general, Hank (the hero), protecting a senator, Ginger (the heroine), and things shift from friendship to passion. Very good!

Recommends it for: fans of suspense contemporary romance
A couple of pretty good tales of couples who at the Holiday time overcome their inner walls to reach out to each other.

Another winner for Rachel Lee in the next generation of Conard County stories...good ol' Marge Tate gives our heroine a puppy, and emotional defenses are breached.

I liked that the Catherine Mann story featured protagonists who have grown children, there are too many romances featuring those in their twenties and too few about more mature love.

I read only Wingmen Warrions 13 and it was a very short but good story.

I love stories were heroine and hero are adult people (and those were very adult, one of them already being a grand-father lol).

Recommended and onto the next one!

I love Rachel Lee's Conard County books, and her story was very good. She always does a nice job with characters who are damaged but don't give up. The Catherine Mann story was enjoyable.

Ok, yeah, I've read these two stories before. A long time ago, but they were still good.

Lee's tale is an excellent addition to her Conard County series.
