This book was basically Twilight...but with mers.

1. Five mysterious and gorgeous exchange students in Bluehour, five mysterious and gorgeous Cullens in Twilight.
2. Gorgeous angsty guy in Twilight obsessed with a plain human...Bluehour...ditto.
3. Grace saved from death by boat, Bella saved from death by car. Both done in impossible circumstances, at impossible speeds, with impossible strength. Impossible I say!
4. Both Laurent and Edward tell their love interests "I'm not good for you,

When I read this I was like "Öh my God thuis must be thw worst book ever!" But then I read Sworn by Emma Knight. What can I say about this book.....?
1. Poorly written
2. It twilight but not with vampires but with mermaids. It even had almost indentical dialogues (i am not good for you, you should stay away from me type).
Cover: It was okay but the mermaid looks out of place...

She was okay... She was always curious about the "exchange students"... But can I blame her? With their looks and attitude, anyone will be curious...

He is one of the "exchange students" who arrived at Laurent's school... He was the reason Grace got really curious... Who wouldn't be after what he did in the classroom? I really did not feel him in the story because, for me, during the first half of the story he was not really th
It was pretty ok but I felt that the author was trying to keep shoving the fact that the main character was "curious" and that's great but that shouldn't be her only main characteristic. Also there was very little romance to speak of between Laurent and Grace. Now that I think about it this book is like twilight but with mermaids. Not only that but the end was very disorganized and anticlimactic. All in all this is a type of book where you don't even have to read the rest of the series because t ...more

Setting aja beda. Nyesel gue ngedownloadnya dan ngebaca ampe akhir. Untung gue pake paket unlimited. Jadi ngga rugi kuota. Eh rugi juga sih. Ish.

Enjoyed the story.. But felt like there was some lag...
The relationship didn't progress between Grace and Laurent until "boom" all of a sudden he's declaring devotion... Weird..
But all in all I liked the characters - Grace was a little whiny to me and too curious about the same thing all the time... I think my favorite was Agnes.. :)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next in the series to see if Grace and Laurent continue their relationship, what happens to Grace and if Sabine reappears...

I was very into it then realized it was basically twilight with mermaids but I still loved it. as I approached the End I was disappointed it kept repeatedly going over the same things and rushed the relationship then ended dissapointingly and left you hanging I realized it was a series and the second book doesn't even look like dawn and Laurent are in it... that disappointed me too. I doubt ill be buying bluedawn. has anyone else read the series ? Do you hear more of dawn ? is it worth the read?

This isn't your typical merfolk story. The mer people are hostile and love the taste of human flesh. But not all mermen are the same, as Grace discovers. She is drawn to Laurent, a foreign exchange student with some pretty strange abilities. Even though he warns her away, Grace can't help but respond to the pull she feels around him. This was a cute romance that I would recommend to others.

I absolutely despise this book!! The plot and everything was pretty much copied from Twilight. You could find all the scenes from Twilight in this book except that the vampires are the mermaids. At least in the end of Twilight Bella was with her family. In this book she ran away with that merman, while her parents where worried sick.

The only thing remotely likeable about this book, in my opinion is that it's about mermaids. Evil mermaids.

The story itself was missing so much description that the book seemed incomplete. And the storyline was basically twilight in a nutshell.

Pretty much a rip off of Twilight but with mermaids. Angsty teens would probably enjoy it. Replace blood with "salty fluids" (I swear to god, a direct quote) and you probably couldn't tell the books apart.

in my honest opinion, this book was too much like twilight. I didn't find any real originality in it. I love the twilight books so, this book to me was a shorter version of what I have already read. The only difference was mermaids....
I received a copy for review from the author. All thoughts are my honest opinion!

This book was not for me and I couldn't get into the story.

MERS are so interesting!

I am very impressed. lol, other than a few misspellings the story was great. I want to know more about mers now.

It was kind of like twilight (take that however you would like) except with mermaids. I did enjoy it, but because I have read twilight I knew what was going to happen next or at least had an idea.

Was rather good. Yes it's a lot like twilight, but I found it better because vampires don't sparkle. And the Mer people in this book are a little more believeable.
