Written in the form of a diary this tells Lydia’s story as she decides to go it alone without a man in her life. Dumped by her boyfriend at the start of the story and losing the baby she was carrying she decides she doesn’t miss the boyfriend but she does miss the prospect of having a baby. What happens when she decides to make her own life is entertaining reading. Each week’s entry contains the appropriate extract from a baby book as well as Lydia’s own thoughts and experiences.

My review: 2.5 Stars

This book was a disappointment. After reading "Return to the Aegean" by Ms. Russell, I hoped for a lot more. The diary entries felt choppy, the characters weren't developed well, and I just wasn't a fan of the story. I may be too traditional in my view points to enjoy this book. If I had read it for funny pregnancy anecdotes I may have liked it better, but unfortunately, it just fell flat for me. This book is not appropriate for younger readers. an interesting account of a woman who after losing a baby to her esetranged partner, decides she doesnt need a man except for his sprem. She advertises for a donor as she wants to screen them first. going through the ups and downs of pregnancy and the reactions of her friends and family. Fun lighthearted novel. Great read.
