So I wanted to try this because there are four fucking volumes of this all at $2.99 and I was like that sucks. Especially since each novella is only 20,000 words. If you have four parts why not just put it all together for one book and then price it at like 9.99.

But then I realized that its a serial novel.

So I decided to check it out,my hand hovering over the REFUND button on Amazon. I read chapter one. Enjoyed. Went to chapter two. Loved it. Kept reading. When I got to the final page, at midnig...more

Honestly, this is BULLSHIT. I have never in all my book reading on Kindle have seen anything like this! And I've read a shocking amount of books!

Who divides a book up into such tiny little bits and sells them off for 3 fucking dollars EACH? There's like 11 instalments ***So far????*** and all you get are a few chapters. Yes, the tiny little thing tells you there's probably a dozen "chapters" but they're hardly a few pages long.

You're paying 3 dollars when you can pay the same price for...more

Sexy, exciting start to a fun New Adult series of novellas!!

No family. Almost no one to depend on or have her back. Struggling to maintain her grades in order to keep her scholarship, while working every other minute of the day with minimal earnings to show for it. A car that stops running when red lights linger too long. You could say Avery Stanz is in trouble and running out of options. With everything in her life taking a turn for the worse, there...more

Avery, our poor little struggling college student with a spray-start car and a vile roommate just can’t get a break. She is close to losing her scholarship and needs to make some money quickly. Avery’s friend, Melony introduces her to a job opportunity she just may not be able to refuse.

Then we have hot mysterious Motorcycle Man, Sean; he came to Avery’s rescue when her car was jacked and he left a lasting impression on Avery.

However, there is something very unusual...more

$2.99 for about one hundred pages. Yep, you guessed it, it's time for another round of "Let's Gouge the Reader!" I'm sorry, but I can get a professionally edited, professionally published romance for less than eight dollars. Why would I pay nine or more dollars for a series of sloppily written chapters? There's not even verification that the author finished the story before posting installments. What if she loses interest, or even more likely, inspiration? I'd be stuck with a bunch of chapters a...more

I have no idea what this is book is going to be about, but it has three things that make me want to read this...like now:

1. The Author Rocks
2. The Cover is Gorgeous
3. Labeled as "New Adult" which I've been loving this genre lately.

BRING IT :)

Update: So this book has come out and I want to read it...BADLY! However, I'm not a fan of novellas or having to wait for the full story. I hate cliffhangers as it is. It's too bad, but I'm going to wait until all of them are out. :((

I said I wasn't going to read these, because I thought it was ridiculous of Ms. Ward to demand 2.99 for an installment (which apparently she is drawing out to capitalize on as much money as she can- since there are now 10 installments). at 2.99 a pop, that means that for $29.99 you have read all ten installments (with apparently more to come)- legit best selling authors don't even get that much for honest Hard-Cover books let alone E-Books, let alone 20,000 word installments! Ive stopped at six...more

Im giving this book a 4 because I really love the story and I want/need to know more!...but seriously I want to give it a zero because of the ending and believe me this book would be so much better off as one book! who is telling authors that these little installments are good? every book series I've read that is made of installments, I have hated for the pure fact they are not one book. There are too many books these days to be able to remember what actually happened in the previous book, so to...more

There is a parallel between this book "series" and the series of dates between the hero and heroine in the book - both probably should have been for FREE.

I could have liked this book if the story had been edited and encapsulated in one actual book. So tired of the artificially split trilogies! The story had some promise and I enjoyed the gritty realism portrayed for the poor college girl and the surprise meeting of the main characters. But the story seemed to drift away almost as if the author...more

I'll do a review of the entire series (12 books) when I finish the last book, but I really liked this one :)

Not sure if I like these installment reads...but I was certainly hooked. I think I will have to ensure they are all out first though.

I was hooked on this by the concept alone. I mean what are the chances that the one guy that sparks an interest ends up being a client? I like Avery, she has a bit of sass and is broken. But Sean is even more broken, which is my undoing.

I will most likely end up reading everything from this author if the others are anything like this!

Just when I thought H.M. Ward's books couldn't get any better..well I've been proven wrong before. Every time I start another book written by H.M. Ward I go in feeling like my mind is going to be blown and I will be taken on the ride of my life. The Arrangement did just that and I can not wait for the second installment.

Avery's life starts off as a giant suck fest. Her car breaks down every time she gets to a stop light or sign, the heater doesn't work, and the car window doesn't go up. One nigh...more

REACTION AFTER READING THE BOOK

4 happy sweet and sexy hearts!

That was a pretty good read!

I would have to say that for a short 118 pages, I was drawn and captivated!!

HERE'S THE GIST

If you would ask Avery how she would describe her life right now... She'll probably say..

Nothing is going right in her life. She's struggling with her rent, with school fees, her grades, and also with her shit of a car that stalls on her whenever it gets the chance. She got no one to ca...more

The Arrangement Vol. 1 is the first volume in an intriguing, original New Adult series by H.M. Ward. In the first volume in this series, H.M. Ward introduces the characters, sets the stage, and leaves readers panting for more! Literally panting! This volume ended right when things started to heat up and I have to know what happens next. Volume 2 is scheduled to release TODAY - January 15, 2013 and I plan on purc...more

This bookie doesn't come out until January 15th 2013 ( I was given a eARC)

The book grabs you right from page on, actually it entraps you willing you to read just one more page until you run out of pages to read and you finish the book. I seriously almost crapped myself as to what the book is about, I mean I watch movies about about it, I've just never read books about an escort service (or better known as "matchmaking") but it's done in a tasteful way. "I know what you're feeling, but hear me o...more

Yes ladies and gentleman she has done it again! If you are worried that The Arrangement is going to be to similar to the Secrets series then get that thought out of your head now. It starts out completely different taking a turn I didn't expect. Avery is a college student who lost her family and has been on her own for a while. She is on scholarship at school and is having a hard time keeping her GPA up while working in order to eat. Her grades start slipping because she has to work so much. She...more

Indifferent.

That's how I feel about this book. Just plain indifferent. I sort of expected more from this novella (which I shouldn't have since this plot has just been recycled so many times that it's getting ridiculous). I didn't enjoy the book as much I would have preferred to and I think it's because nothing really amazed me or grabbed my attention.

Nothing really happens other than the two main characters (Avery and Sean who resemble nothing more than card-board cut-outs) meeting and that's it...more

Well, this is one of those series told over several novella's. Hence, the "worth the chili" rating reflect the price versus length of story. Take into account, if you complete the entire 6 book series, you will have spent about $18 for about 700 pages or...more

This is the only book - and I use the term loosely - I have not finished this entire year!! I am truly at a loss for words because I can not believe how popular this series is. The story is ridiculously absurd and the writing is mediocre at best. I am so over the innocent virgin meets mysterious rich bad boy that if I'm going to read it, it better be spectacular. This. Was. Not. However, the nail in the coffin is that this is book 1 in a series of 12 novellas so far (all which are 60-7...more

Whoa. This took me by surprise because it turned out that I really like this one.

The Arrangement was a shoooooort read(sucks) and soooooo good(yay)!

Avery was a fun character. She's witty, naive, and exciting. I could say I relate to her in so many ways. While Sean is the oh-so-typical gorgeous boy. They meet, they had fun, and then things happen.

This was a whole lot of fun with equal parts pleasure and hot as hell. Saying I want the next story will be an understatement because I am clawing my...more

This is wow. Completely obsessed. It's short- a series with ten parts so far- but I knew that going in. This got better and better with every page and then by the end- gah! So at 530am I bought part two and started reading.
I told you, obsessed. I'm going to be useless all day today.

Ok, the reviews for these books will be 'mini reviews' due to the fact that they are all around the 20k mark, and they read very much like a tv show/soap opera. I mean seriously, it is intense to the day time soap opera power.

Now, some people hate the serial. I happen to enjoy the serial because I know it had slim to no chance of ending and I HATE ENDINGS! Kinda like Doctor Who, I feel like I should rip the last page out of a book so it never has to end!

Anyways, we are following the story of A...more

I'll give H.M. Ward 5 stars for making a fortune by only giving us a few chapters at a time. Just when she doesn't think things could get any worse, they do. When her car stalls out at a busy intersection and she gets out to check under the hood, a guy steals her car. Part #1:

This Book was suggested to me by one of my facebook friends and I was so happy to have been directed towards it, because I'd never heard of it and I was looking for something short that I could get through within a short amount of time...

So anyway, Arrangement was the first of the many book suggestions I had received.

Anyhoo... I rather enjoyed this book. It was funny at the beginning and I really enjoyed the method the author used to introduce us t...more

Wow this book had me from the very first page.
Avery Stanz is a college student with a scholarship that's in peril of being taken away from her.
It is her only means of staying in school.
She has no one to support her.

OH MY!! What a great book!! I was introduced to this book ... this series ... by a friend & fellow book enthusiast. I must admit that this is a book that I would not have normally read if it hadn't been for the praise my friend gave it - it's not my normal kind of read. I am so glad I decided to give it a try - I read the entire thing in under 2 hours ... just could not put it down!! I can't wait to move on to the next one ... and the next one ... and the next one!!
