Recommended for gr. 6-8. This is exactly what the title indicates – short bios of leaders and generals from both sides of the American Revolution. Each bio is a half to a full page long and includes an illustration, in many cases historical, of each person. The exception is George Washington, who rated four pages. The bios include birth and death dates, events leading up to the person’s involvement in the war, and often a bit about his life after the war. Some lesser-known names are included ...more
