Rob Fynn’s account of his life is laced with both wit and humor, while being honest to the point of self-deprecation. I heartily recommend this book. The story of his first 67 years is chock-a-block full of adventure, excitement, drama, terror, frustration, and grief.

A nostalgic insight into Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe, the country I grew up in. Although the books does cry out for a little editing of typographical errors (I had the electronic version and am not sure if the print version also contains errors)it does not distract the reader too much. I glossed over the historical bits (i.e. the stories of Shaka etc.,) as I learned all that in school and history was never my favourite subject, but I thoroughly enjoyed the description of the author's travels through ...more
