Heroes and monsters clash with government forces in an apocalyptic London.

Two years after London is struck by a devastating terrorist attack, it is cut off from the world, protected by a large force of soldiers (known as Choppers), while those in the rest of Britain believe that their ex-capital is now a toxic, uninhabited wasteland.

Jack and his friends know that the truth

Tim Lebbon set the stage for Lucy-Anne and Jack's frighteningly supernatural version of London in London Eye. He drew us in with a chilling premise and excellent execution of a city come undone. Fans of the Toxic City series will revel with its latest installment, Reaper's Legacy!

Reaper's Legacy is a grand extension of the first novel. The plot presents so many changes in the characters and the city itself. Lucy-Anne is following the enigmatic Rook to the North in search of her last familial con

Reaper’s Legacy by Tim Lebbon, the second novel in the Toxic City series is full of rich characters and journeys for missing family members.

The story follows Lucy-Anne, who travels with a mysterious boy named Rook. Lucy-Anne is searching for her brother, Andrew, who is the only family she has left. The story also follows Jack, Sparky, and Jenna, who are in search of Jack’s mother and y

Middle Book Syndrome strikes again! I hate when that happens, but unfortunately that's the case for Reaper's Legacy. It picks up immediately after the end of London Eye, but it never really goes anywhere until the very end. What I assumed was going to be the plot and focal point didn't happen at all. In fact, the complete opposite happened, so I was always quite confused as to where the story was going. It also didn't help that Jack, Jenna, and Sparky spend the first two thirds of the book going ...more

There are so many things I love about this story. First are the characters, which should always be the heart of a good book. Here we have two basic main characters, Lucy-Anne and Jack. They are part of a small group of teens who have snuck into London, a city that has been closed off from the rest of the world for a few years due to a contagion that was released within it. This contagion has killed many but for some it has given them advanced psychic abilities.
Lucy-Anne has come to London in se

I think the book Reaper's Legacy is an interesting book with lots of emotion and some horrifying subjects. The book is about Jack and his friends Sparky and Jenna trying to find Jack's mother and sister. The book is also about a young woman named Lucy-Anne and her new ally Rook going to Northern London to find Andrew who is Lucy-Anne's brother. The main characters of Reaper's Legacy are Jack and Lucy-Anne. The antagonist of the story is Miller, leader of the Choppers. The whole story took place ...more

Jack, Jenna, and Sparky need to have the irregulars and the superiors fight together to save his mom and Emily. Lucy-Anne has the help of Rook to find her brother. They both have the Nomad.

After the Nomad "touched" Jack in book 1, things change for him. Lucy Anne is having more dreams and learning how to handle them.

Reaper's Legacy, Toxic City book 2 by Tim Lebbon started out better than book 1, London Eye, but fizzled a little bit as you went through. Still good and still made me want to continue on to book 3, Contagion.

This was a much better novel than London Eye and a far more satisfying read. Very cinematic in styling and I'd greatly enjoy it as a movie.

Loved the character of Rook and am hoping to find him in the next book as well, somehow

I had forgotten how underwhelmed I was with the first in the series and started reading this one. Finally, I couldn't force myself to go any further. Lo and behold, when I came to write my review I find that number one in the series was a stinker ... any wonder I couldn't carry on with this one.

The horror continues - I don't quite buy the explanation for Evolve both how it was made and distributed - not enough information and does not seem logical. Sorry about the death of a minor character...

A pretty good 2nd book, unlike many that simply seem to be fillers.

The problem for me however, is that their are so many diverse groups with various powers and overall intentions, it gets confusing.

Slow

Not a lot is covered in this book. Too much filler and a much slower story. Towards the end I kept hoping it would end soon.

It felt like it took forever to just get this book over with. I'll read the last book but I am not optimistic about it. So now go and read.

I love writing, reading, triathlon, real ale, chocolate, good movies, occasional bad movies, and cake.

I was born in London in 1969, lived in Devon until I was eight, and the next twenty years were spent in Newport. My wife Tracey and I then did a Good Thing and moved back to the country, and we now live in the little village of Goytre in Monmouthshire with our kids Ellie and Daniel. And our dog,
