I would definitely give this more than three - nearly 4 stars!

Barney and Gabby from Geek Inc (the 1st book in this series) are trying to figure why the new kid at school seems a little strange. He can do amazing magic tricks and seems to be all over the place. But when Gabby does some further digging over the internet she discovers he is all over the place – at the same time! How does he do it? This escapade is even better than the first adventure. Whilst not the target at all for this dimension-bending mystery tale, it was exactly the sort of book I would've loved as a grubby-eared inquisitive little sod. My ears may be cleaner now (NB: not legally binding statement) but my taste for a well constructed, very funny book with a real mystery, genuine emotion between the older characters and a lack of talking down to its audience remains entirely intact. Now to get all the other books. Geek out.
