Wow - just wow. This was one of the most emotional books I have ever read in this line. Sophie is about to marry Colton when the wedding is crashed by a teenager who turns out to be Sophie's daughter. Colton is stunned to find out that the woman he thought was his perfect mate has secrets that she never shared with him. He calls off the wedding and tries to cut Sophie out of his life. Meanwhile Sophie is trying to adjust to seeing the baby girl she was forced to give up and get to know her. Just...more

I really was happy to receive this next in the series book so I could find out who the girl was who said she objected to the marriage of Colton McCray and Sophie Johnston. From this point on,the happiness Sophie had looked forward to took quite the nosedive and a totally unexpected turn in her future.
This blue-haired young girl really stirs the small town of Valley Ridge, and the issue of trust becomes a big issue for many. Her appearance plus a new event in Sophie's life really make this book...more

The title might have continued with "that didn't happen and then did!"

But getting there is the heart of this story, which begins when the 14-yr old daughter that Sophie was forced to give up when she was only slightly older shows up at her wedding and "objects" (!) to the marriage.

Shocked, the fiance, Colton, sends the guests to the diner to eat the food originally prepared for the reception, and brings a halt to his life together with Sophie, certain that if she had kept the child she gave away...more

A touching story of a young woman reunited with the daughter she gave away at birth. When young lady objects at the wedding of Colton and Sophie everything changes! Will secrets from the past keep them from having the future they both want. A heartwarming story that I recommend for everyone.

"Jacobs weaves an interesting tale of forgiveness, boosted by well-written dialogue and a fun, lively character in Sophie's daughter, Tori." RT Book Reviews, rated 4 stars
