A great follow up to book one! The roller coaster of emotions Macen, Liam, and Raine all go through had me hooked from the first. I cried, laughed, and smiled as I became a voyeur on their continued journey, but the surprise ending, completely knocked my socks off. I can't wait for the next book now!

I loved their journey. but another cliffhanger?, I love it !
This was okay but...I'm really fed up with multi partnered relationships. I don't buy that these three people will ever be able to maintain a relationship where they are sharing this supposedly submissive woman. Raine doesn't strike me as being truly submissive, she's too damaged and does not strike me as a woman willing to give up her power to any man, after the abuse heaped upon her by her father. And the manipulation by Liam with Raine was beyond low. (view spoiler)...more
I liked this book less than the first one. Macen was even more messed up than he was in the first book. I'd like my Dom's to be Dom like please. I don't mind if the have issues but I will need them to be Alpha like at all times and I just couldn't take his self-doubt and thinking he wasn't good enough for Raine.

Which brings me to Liam. He started out perfect in book 1 and by the end of this book he is just a mess. I'm pretty sure he's going to end up a switch at some point and time. Raine has be...more

I was so excited to read this. It is hot, steamy and oh so yummy. Who wouldn't want two Alpha doms fighting for you? Raine has finally became strong enough to reach out for what she wants. And she wants both Macen (Hammer) and Liam. But oh what a tangled weave these three have to overcome. Now with a cliffhanger, I can only hope that Macen is her true DOM. But I would love to get a story of their friend Beck and let's face it, Seth would be another one to look forward too.

OMG! Where do I begin? I loved Macen and Liam from the beginning and now Raine has worked her way into my heart. I have loved their journey to each other, laughing, crying, screaming and yelling right along with them.

Thank you ladies for another fantastic story!

Now I have two questions; when is the next one coming out and can I be in the middle of Seth and Beck? :)

This was an emotional book, well written, and masterfully handled.
Macen Hammer, owner of BDSM Club Shadows, took in Raine Kendall when she was a runaway teenager, and has hidden his feelings for her for years. His best friend, Liam O’Neill, befriends her to help Macen, but falls for her himself, creating a rift between the two friends. For her part, Raine has always loved Macen, but falls har...more

I loved this book - although I have a soft spot for Hammer, I'm glad things began to work out between them all.

I began the first book thinking this was going to be another series of different characters, but was soo pleased to see that their story had further to go. That you go to see much much more of them develop and grow.

I still think the initial scene when Raine propositions Hammer has got to be the best part of the books so far - hot, intense and sets up the rest of their story. I can't wa...more
Enjoyed this book!! Ladies you have another winner. Hope the series continues with some of the secondary characters. (Hint: Beck needs a book)
Shayla Black's web page says July 23, 2013 Release date. Ugh. Want it now!!!

I have to wait for another book ñnnnnnnnoooooooo
I'm so glad that this book didn't keep going in the same vein as the first half. The first half basically had Hammer and Liam each grabbing Raine's arm, pulling her to them, all the while yelling "Mine", jerking Raine back and forth. It got old so fast. I didn't fault Raine for leaving, for thinking that was her only choice. While I didn't think running away was the answer, I did like the results of it.

For me the stars of the book were Beck and Seth. I loved how these 2 men were able to calm Ra...more

THE YOUNG AND THE SUBMISSIVE is the second book in The Doms in Her Life series. It is the story of Raine, Hammer and Liam, two men in love with the same girl. One man has her and the other thinks it is too late.

I have not read the first book, so I started at a slight disadvantage because the beginning starts where that book left off. Once I was past the references to what occurred in Book 1, I started to like the story. If you have not been in a BDSM relationship or read any books on the subjec...more
What happens when you put together three amazing authors of erotic romance - magic! That’s exactly what happened when Shayla Black, Jenna Jacob and Isabella LaPearl pooled their endless talents and began writing. The Young and the Submissive is the second book in their Doms of Her Life series. If you have not read One Dom to Love, the first in the series, then stop right here and go get it. The Young and the Submissive picks up right where One Dom to Love left us. Without having read the first b...more
✨4.5 Stars✨

These three authors really can do no wrong in my book! Whether they write separately or together, you will not be disappointed. We are transported back to Shadows and the oh so determined Macen "Hammer" Hammerman. Damn, even his name is SEXY as hell! Along with the tender but demanding Liam O'Neill and the evading Raine Kendall, their trio is complete. The dynamic between these three is very interesting to say the least. There is a heavy push-pull between all involved, and they're eac...more

Great Read

I really liked book 2 of this series. I liked Liam from the beginning, but Hammer grew on me. Raine had a lot of growing up to do, but I liked how the authors wrote her growth and her understanding and feelings for both men. Can't wait for the next installment.
A little too much hang-wringing, not enough sexy times. I did like seeing the real human emotion of jealousy was present in a book about a menage.

I find myself able to walk away from the story, which isn't a good thing for a penultimate book. I still enjoyed the story

I enjoyed this book, but it took me about 25% to really get into it. After I hit that mark I was hooked and couldn't put it down. I was not a huge fan of Raine in the beginning. I found her flighty and bratty. Although I am a huge fan of ménage books, I like for the guys to be on the same page. Like the men in Shayla Black's Master of Ménage books. Liam and Hammer were defiantly not on the same page, they each had an agenda and it got really annoying. I found myself picking sides, and g...more
Raine Kendall can’t seem to let go of he past and accept that someone actually wants her. Her time with Dom Liam O’Neill has been amazing and she is just waiting on something to go wrong. And she can’t shake her feelings for her boss and first love Macen “Hammer” Hammerman. The one night they shared together does nothing to ease that either. She wants them both but can both Liam and Hammer put aside their differences and work together to give Raine what she needs???

This series is going to be gr...more

I'm not sure how to write this review. The book was okay, but not the sequel I was hoping for. It was also hard for me to get into. I was 75% of the way done before I actually wanted to keep reading and if I hadn't enjoyed book #1 I would have left it unfinished. Saying all that I can't actually point out what didn't work, just that it was lacking. I'm currently undecided if I will bother reading the next in the series. Sad because I usually enjoy these authors work.
Ok I gave in and decided to read book 2 of Doms of her Life despite how the first book ended with me feeling let down. Sometimes you see a train wreck and you can't help to look and find out what is happening and with these characters I couldn't look away from these train wrecked people and I wish I did. Book 2 continues where Book 1 left off with Raine trying to sort out her feelings for the two men in her life who have come to mean so much to her. Unfortunately, she is unable to see that her i...more
Not a bad book. I just had a really hard time connecting to it. I continued to get sidetracked to the point where i had to lock myself in my room in complete silence to finish it. The plot was the best part though. I enjoyed how things came together throughout the story… so ultimately it wasn't a waste of time.
Who doesnt want two spicy hot guys to fufill ours desires? i want xD
I am so torn, I like the caring Liam, but I also like Macen ... so I truly understand Raine's dilemna.

This book deals with emotions, a lot of crazy emotions and it takes us into the minds of people involved in a polyamorous relationship. It deals with jealousy, insecurities, uncertainties. However above all it deals with love. These two alpha Doms are both so in love with the same woman that they learn to deal with their feelings in order to put hers first.

My only complaint is the cliffhanger....more
I hope there is gonna be a book telling beck's story!!

love love love. did I mention I loved it.
4.5 Stars!
will it be the last book? I hope not, I want to know more about Liam, sexy, intense, sweet Liam.
Raine is a lucky girl, after having a rough childhood with a terrible father, the least she deserves is a man that loves her and takes care of her, but instead she gets two perfect, intense, sexy, dominant men that loves her.
And even when Macen is too much to handle, I think he's perfect for her.

“Time's up, Ladies. Let's go back inside. We can sit by the fire, hold hands, and sing Kumbaya," Seth called from the front porch.

"Fucker," Hammer muttered.

"I think we should beat his ass next," Liam muttered conspiratorially.

Both men cracked a knowing grin. As if they'd read one another's minds, they raised their right arms and flipped Seth off, laughing. It felt good.”
“Congratulations. So far, you've both scored a hundred percent on the quiz."

"Quiz?" Liam blinked, then looked at Hammer, his eyes wide. "Shit, we didn't study, mate."

"If Seth is giving the quiz, we're good. He can't be smarter than us," Hammer said in a stage whisper.”
