I was a little disappointed that my library had this lsited as the first book in the Sisterhood series so I started with this book and right away I could tell that it definitely was not the first book in the series. I was interested enough to keep reading the book but at the same time I just felt confused the entire time becuase I really wasn't sure what the purpose of the Sisterhood was or how they really got started. A few hints were given throughout the book but I just felt lost all the way t...more

I felt like this book was a made for T.V. movie. It is a simple read with not much depth or originality. The book is about 7 women who form a vigilante group called "The Sisterhood". The book tries to establish the fact that women can do basically anything men can do. I feel the book fails to accomplish this, because every move and decision the ladies make is controlled by some guy named Charles. Basically, the women are a bunch of puppets on a string for the male dominant character.

--The sisterhood is at it again; as in Lethal Justice.
--Over a period of time women who have been wronged by society, partners, employers, and business associates join together and form a group they call “The Sisterhood.” Coming from all different walks of life and skills, they are backed by a woman who has vast resources and money. One at a time, they get a chance to enact justice. All get involved to help one of their sisters to gain her end.
--Very good.

I thought I was going to get a strong read out of the book. Fern Michaels has always been a great author to me after reading Pretty Woman... But with the series it's as if it's to slow the plot really doesn't rake to a climax and then a great ending. It just tells me a kind of action packed story but it doesn't really get there.. Hide and seek was a gift along with the following book Hokus Pokus. So I will see how the tone of Hokus Pokus is and see if it's a better read the pervious.
The sisterhood is winning again. The vigilantes were holed up in a mountaintop in Europe when they got their instructions that they were headed back to the states to help solve another problem. but they had to disguise themselves. Mitchell Rileyu was trying to frame "his friends" so he could become the director of the FBI but can the sisterhood stop him. This was a good and quick read.
Loved it! This one focuses on the FBI (specifically the Assistant Director, Mitch Riley) who has targeted Judge Easter, Myra's friend and confidant; and, Lizzie Fox, the Sisterhood's attorney. He intends to frame Judge Easter and Lizzie Fox to save his career. The Sisterhood will bring the fight right to his door.
OK, by now, I'm just sick of the series. I really liked it for awhile - I loved the idea of making up for horrible wrongs, but by now it's so repetitive I can't even care anymore. The newest sister Annie drives me up a wall. The "punishments" for the bad guys are stupid. I'm over the group of women and their shenanigans.
This is poetic justice at it's finest. Fern Michaels hits the nail on the head with this incredible novel of the Sisterhood.
The last mission the Sisters took on almost landed them in jail and now they are hiding out as fugitives. But they cannot stay in hiding forever as their expertise is called on to help out their friends.

I was not as impressed by the Sisterhood novel on account of involving so many others. I kind of feel like Fern Michaels struggled to bring the women back in to action. I was a bit bored for over half this novel. I truly hope this is not the case for the remainder of the series. I will say the choice of punishment issued to Riley was creative and having handled said materials I fully understand the itch.
