February in Ohio calls for any kind of gardening day dreamy book that I can get my hands on. This one would have been made much better by a good editor. The author repeats himself a good bit and rambles a lot. Worst of all, I had a hard time picturing quite a few of the beds he described - which for daydreaming garden book readers is kinda the whole point. His descriptions were just too particular and impossible.

Generally, I am a big fan of the gardening essay. And generally, I don't read this kind of book straight through, but I was stuck in Laguardia OVERNIGHT, thank you very much Delta, and I ran out of other options. But even with the circumstances in mind, I don't think that Raimes had anything particularly new or unique to say about the experience.
