If you miss the "brighter" superhero books of days gone by, give "It Girl" a try. Rich's hipster prose is cute but not offputting, and Mike Norton's art belongs on a wall.

Art is solid and the story was OK. Having not read any of the other Atomics stories didn't really hinder my enjoyment of this. Yes there are multiple references to a previous adventure but it was explained well and I didn't get lost.

Not the ginchy fun I hoped it would be. Norton's art was very nice but possibly not what I hoped for in an Allred-adjacent spin-off series. The story also didn't really grab me which surprised me since I generally quite like the writing of Jamie Rich. Perhaps volume two will catch my interest more.
