Good book. It started in the middle of the action, then went back to a week previously to set it up. Kelly is a midwife who meets Nick, the brother-in-law of one of her patients, during one of her classes. They are immediately attracted to each other. She is with Nick when his uncle is shot in an apparent suicide and as a nurse is the one to help him while waiting for the ambulance. He mutters a few things that make no sense, but someone thinks she knows something. She and Nick soon suspect that ...more

This book had a good story line. When I bought this book, I thought it would be more action, and romance. I was a little disappointed. It was more about Kelly, and Nick working together to solve the mystery surrounding the death of Samuel, Nick’s uncle.
Kelly is a midwife. She met Nick while she was teaching a Lamaze class. Afterwards he takes her up to his office to show her gold. They hear gunshots, and find Samuel lying on the floor of his office bleeding. Kelly works to save his life, but in

In Miles’ romantic suspense novel, midwife Kelly Evans hears the last words of a dying man as she works to save his life. Although the words mean nothing to her, someone thinks she knows things she shouldn’t. Nick Spencer, nephew to the dying man, turns out to be her protector determined that this innocent bystander not come to harm. When a hostage situation unfolds, Nick must take a stand to save Kelly before it’s too late for both of them.

Get Lost in a Story: Cassie Miles Visits GLIAS for Intrigue Week 2 1 Feb 06, 2013 08:12AM
Cassie grew up in a small town at the very tip of southern Illinois. A tomboy, she spent most of her time outside and got into big trouble for breaking the trellis while climbing out her second-story bedroom window.

When her family moved to L.A., major culture shock ensued. She discovered that grapefruits grew on trees, television offered more than two channels, and all the other girls had breasts.
