This is a good introduction to literacy coaching; it's not overly technical and full of jargon, and the writing is succinct and clear. There were many sections I would have liked to see elaborated upon, so that's why I would say its a good intro...not necessarily an in depth work.

Although the title seems to focus on the 5 Pillars (which are reading based) and adolescent learning, the book is general enough that it could be beneficial to literacy coaches at any level coaching teachers in any area of literacy or content instruction.
