If you like meat you probably LOVE bacon. What a versatile cut of meat it is from perhaps the most noblest of animals.

The authors sum up bacon perfectly with the following phrase: "one of those flavour-packed, umami-rich, secret-weapon ingredients". A book like this will help even the most dedicated bacon-addict find something new and the initiated will find a totally new world is possibly being opened up to them. This book really celebrates all things bacon. The neat thing about it is that many of the recipes aren't super-heavy - some of the pastas and salads were quite light! The deserts are innovative, and they give a lot of background on the recipes and helpful timing and cooking tips.

This would be a tough book to work into your regular meal repertoire, since it's so ingredient-focused. Also, I found that most of the recipes were fairly involved - I'd say intermediate - and required several steps and

Oh, the disappointment.

I saw this title online and immediately put it on hold at the library. What I wasn't expecting was a passel of gourmet recipes. An interesting take on bacon, and one which some cooks might appreciate. I have no interest in three-page long recipes in tiny type. I also don't much care for meat-stuffed meats.

The only thing I was really interested in were the two cookie recipes at the end of the book (big surprise, huh?).

I can eat my weight in bacon! Great recipes and and I learned more about one if my favorite foods - like but the most expensive you can afford- you get what you pay for. Do you want ground beef or the filet mignon of pork- there is a difference!

Liked the premise of the book and am anxious to try a few recipes. Was disappointed in the random photos of bacon and not a photo of the recipe featured. I know what bacon looks like, but have never seen rosemary and bacon shortbread.

I have to say that I love bacon. Everything , well except desserts, taste better with bacon. If you are a bacon lover, like I am, then you need this book!

Although the recipes are generally geared towards 4+ people there are enough recipes I'd find it easier to have my own copy than try to copy them all down.
