I bought this book after reading Carribean Cruising and because I liked the premise of the novel. If you are looking for a quick, fun read, this is it!

The book “Thrill Ride” by Rachel Hawthorne was a very interesting book. I love Rachel Hawthorne's books. I can always count on picking up one of her books and getting exactly what I want from them, a quick fast, sweet read that will give you that "awww" moment that you are looking for.
You know the reads.
The fluff reads you need on a bad day that will put a smile on your face and melt your heart just a little bit.

Mini review: This is the kind of book I would have loved reading as a young teen ~ older YA characters (love interest Parker is 19), a predictable swoon-y romance and a sweet (predictable) plot. It didn't have a lot of tension (except towards the end) but there was a fab setting and a cute guy to keep things moving along.
In terms of style and execution, it got a similar vibe to

My sister actually recomend Rachel Hawthorne books to me and this book is my first Rachel Hawthorne book!! Im going to read The boyfriend league tonight.

Even tough Rachel Hawthorne's books are directed to a younger audience, I feel like I still belong to that crowd since I thoroughly enjoy her books. The reason I keep reading them is because they always have a main character that I can relate to. Another cute, light, fun read by Rachel Hawthorne. This book is about Megan who decided to spend her summer working at a theme park with a long-distance relationship looming over her. Megan is off to work away from home. While she measures the pros and cons of going away she did not expect to meet a guy Parker that will make her insides turn. My cousin recommended this book to me mostly because of one particular character (coughcoughParker) and all I can say is, she was right. Parker was my favourite character obviously. My Say: Megan is not very confident of her decision making skills so she has planner where she notes the pros and cons of the subject of her decisions. I'm not really a fan of Roller Coasters per se but I'm also not one of those people who suffers veloxrotaphobia (the anxiety you feel before riding the roller coaster) but one thing is for sure, I do love Theme Parks!

Oh boy oh boy oh boy...i think I'm hyperventilating, just because of the read! Thrill ride definitely got my adrenaline pumping all right. Parker is sweet and I liked when they first 'talked', it was funny and hot, he surely has a very straight flirting sense. And not to mention, I think I cried towards the end, 'trust me.' So I read this book a LONG time ago. Back when I was in the 8th grade (I'm almost a senior in college right now). It was the first book that I had ever bought from the store with the intentions of reading just for the heck of it! I can honestly say that this is THE book that started my OBSESSION with YA Romances. I have read many books since this one, many good, many bad, but I always will remember Thrill Ride because of how it introduced me to the world of reading.

I love this book I've read it 3 times, it's all about giving people a chance, because yo never know who you may fall in love with. The protagonist Megan has a very pessemistic idea about her roommate being very promscuous, when the whole time she has had one boyfriend and the other guys were brothers, and friends' boyfriends. She gives her roommate's brother Parker a hard time when in the meantime she falls in love with him over her own boyfriend
Typical summer teen romance. Megan (Dallas, TX) heads north for the summer to work at a big amusement park, where she meets Parker (Los Angeles, CA). Fighting off feelings for him because she has a boyfriend back home proves to be more difficult than she thought.
Parker sure was persistent, almost to the point of annoying, but yet was adorable. Megan was pretty cool.

This book moved a bit on the slow side. It seemed all the character did was get up, go to work, worry about 'cheating' on her boyfriend at home, worry about having more than friendship feelings for one of her co-workers, back to the dorm and sleep. Page after page of this with nary an exciting event.
Picked up towards the end but not enough to save it. While I really enjoy other books by this author, this one just wasn't up to par.

This book is a like a good young adult romantic movie. If you are looking for a sweet, funny, romance novel that does not go to deep than you won't be disappointed. Parker, Megan's love interest, was a stand out male character who you can't help but love. I wish I knew Parker!
Fans of Rachel Hawthorne will not be disappointed. It is my favourite of her books that I have read.

Not the most well written book I've ever read... more like a teen chick book top with lotsa cheeze :) Just the perfect item to get me away from wrath of boredomness of My Antonia... see what boredom DOES TO YOU? I just sped through this book within a few hours... mmm... not totally recommended unless you like these types of book... it's SERIOUSLY predictable but boredom makes you do crazy things. This book is absolutely amazing! it's love filled and lots of swoon moments. i admit this book did make me cry, and as you read later on in the chapters you will realize why. BUT its not dramatic, its just the characters really grow on you. i really recommened this book! PS. i have two copies of this book, one to read over and over again and another sitting in pristine shape on my bookshelf. can you tell how much i love this book? :P
