The Engagement , Suzanne Robinson's second book in The English Gunslingers Duet was a disappointment. Was so looking forward to reading Nick's story after meeting him in book one, Lady Dangerous. Robinson started out the book with a bang, but it quickly developed into a whimper of "I love [him] [her], but . . ." thoughts.

This book was quite entertaining. The characters where fun and it was an added bonus that there was a bit of a mystery thrown into the plot. As any romance it had some steamy scenes thrown in with the mindless brain candy :0)
An all around fast enjoyable read, to take your mind off of reality for a few hours.

The plot basically revolves around Lady Georgiana Marshal making a deal to marry the elderly Earl of Threshfield so as to not get trapped into a marriage to a younger man where she would loo
