After the less-than-thrilling previous stories ('Wolfe´s Hope' and 'Jacob´s Faith'), 'Aiden´s Charity' was a nice addition to the series. Not the best, but good enough.

Aiden and Charity were both likeable characters. LL makes extra points with me for making Aiden overcome his misplaces hatred for Charity and accept his mating with her rather quickly, instead of having him nursing it till the end of the book. On the other hand, Charity´s refusal to acknowledge the mating was unreasona More...

Created by mixing of Human/Animal DNA & trained by a secret consul to be an expendable soldier, Aiden, a wolf breed, endures torture and out right slavery at the whim of his creators.

Still, Aiden has been able to control the one area of life he HAS under his power- his sexual urges- to confound the Scientists who want to use him as a lab rat. Until Charity comes along. As far as Aiden knows, Charity works for the scientists, yet he's drawn to her. The Head scientists notice this and More...

In the Lab Aiden was very good at controlling his body's responses, even despite the drugs pumped into his system. But one lone woman shattered that control, bringing out the beast that swore revenge for the betrayal.

Six years later, Charity is one of the experiments. Her bond with Aiden made her unique and the Genetic Council's favorite new toy. In order to stay alive, Charity must give her life in the hands of the man she loves despite the knowledge of his hate. Aiden is the only o More...

erotica/paranormal ; Wolf Breeds 3

lora leigh writes hot erotica, but this one was brought one notch higher and was scorching right from the very beginning.

Aiden has been sentenced to death after scientists have failed to arouse a sexual response from him, thus making him useless for the breed labs. In a desperate act to save him, Charity tries everything that she can to break his hard-won control.

the only drawback from this book is that it starts off incredib More...

Sorry, I forgot to add to the currently reading shelf.
Review coming soon.

After reading Wolfe's Hope and Jacob's Faith, Aiden's Charity was a blow of fresh air.
From the begining, this book followed a the finalplot line and my interest was spiked up from the first chapter to the last.

I loved this book for it's final idea (at least for me) that sometimes feelings and logic, nature and science, don't walk hand in hand, but they compromise and complete each other. More...

I presume you know what the book is about. I'm letting you know what I liked or disliked about it.

This was a good, dependable read. Meaning, I knew what to expect, was entertained, and did like the story. It was a fast read, not all that compelling.

A couple of aspects about the book I did like was the angst I felt while reading what both main characters went through in their story, a couple of the characters empasised in the book providing segways into next books of More...

This is Aiden and Charity's story and it was just OK. I wasn't ecstatic about the story, not only do we have a tortured hero, but we have a tortured heroine as well. Their wasn't really built in the strongest foundations and the usual betrayal is here.

I wasn't able to connect with the characters, and the story was slow-paced. Sure things were better with Aiden and Charity, truths went out, their actions justified, and their feelings bared. Not much went on that's why it took me a week More...

ehhhh. This is so different that the paperback Berkley does. Characters and story are fate. Like watching a porn. The stimulation is just physical. No depth to the story like it siblings from Berkley. The language is more base too, numbingly rough. Not that I am looking to solve the mysteries of the universe here, but I don't feel anything for the characters and there is no mental residue once the reading is done. I have fun reading the series, and I have trouble reading out of sequence, but the More...

More like 3.5 stars.

I liked the story of Aiden and Charity...mated since before they were ever even allowed to touch in the labs where Jacob was created and Charity worked, six years have passed since his rescue. Faith was a spy working to bring down the Genetics council, until she is taken by them and experimented on. While Aiden still feels betrayed and deceived by Charity's actions all those years ago, he comes to see her as his mate. Charity, on the other hand, believes that i More...

This story began better than it ended. I was not impressed with either of the characters. Charity had the most promise but I found Aiden to be too harsh, too hard. That's not something I ever thought to say about an Alpha male. The tables quickly turned. Charity became grating and though Aiden was tolerable, the change was too sudden, too unbelievable compared to his original behavior.

This is my least favorite in the series so far, considering I do not read these in order. I rated W More...

Certainly this is another in the Breeds series with a similar plot. A credit to Ms Leigh's creativity, however, is that she brings in such unique characters that the stories work. Charity was a plant in the Council labs and did everything she could to undermine their reign of terror and to facilitate the escape of so many of the Breeds. However, in a bid to save Aiden's life, she weakens his resistance to the doctors who are trying to make him into a Breed stud. Believing she has betrayed hi More...

I don't like giving a 3 to books because the characters become annoying. But at one point Charity just began to sound like a the screetch on a chalkboard. The story was decent, but Aiden deserved better.

Leigh wasted no time giving you the heat. Dayam she knows how to write an exciting adventure. Right up front she plays the sympathy card and wraps it around the characters. She did this so well I was crying by page 23.

And then I kept reading and I am thinking 'if I survive More...

For some reason I didn't have this book. When I read Styx's Storm, I was looking at the all the Breed books I had read and noticed I skipped this one. This was much better than Styx's Storm, where at least the hero and heroine were likable.

Charity was a mole in the Council, helping the Breeds behind the scene. She meets Aiden while he is imprisoned at a lab and in order to save his life, gives him a blow job. Yes, you read that right! Well, there were repercussions on a molecul More...

I read this book when it was first released by Ellora's Cave. By then, Lora Leigh had already released two other Breed books. I must say though that Aiden's Charity is one of my favorites. I just picked it up again (because I changed e-readers and couldn't get my original copy to transfer) and I'm glad I did. I spent the past couple of nights re-reading it. I enjoyed it just as much this time around as I did all those years ago. It's erotic romance at its finest.

The wolf breeds are just as tortured as the felines. The genetics council is hellbent on finding out what it takes to make them bare offspring.

In doing so, they put human lab tech, Charity through a series of brutal tests. She knowingly becomes connected to Aiden in an event that happened 6 years ago. Aiden has hated Charity since, but once he sees the condition she's currently in, he becomes her protector and the only person who can ease her suffering.

Lora Leigh's earlier Breed stories by Ellora's Cave Publishing are definitely erotica - much steamier than the newer Breed stories, but they also don't have stories that are as in-depth, which in my opinion is a failing. Still, the sex scenes are smokin' hot and it's nice to have the back story between characters I've read about in more recent books

This is one of my more favorite series. I like how as you read these you see the foundation for later stories laid down.

Aiden was locked up in the labs, Charity was working in the labs when they first meet. As time went on they both sense an attraction to each other, but can't let anyone know. Secretly Charity was working behind the scenes to help free the breeds, one day stepping in to save Aiden in an unusual way so that he could be rescued. Neither of them knowing that this li More...

As with all Leigh's books, I totally loved this one too. I love the way she builds the relationship, even though the H/H have already done the deed! =:) I like the parts where the H or H don't give into the mating frenzy and I like that the research continues throughout the series.
The only thing I think I'd like better would be if the guys weren't so Macho and sometimes condisending and always feel they will be ultimately the person who comes out the winner. Although, when a mating is suc More...

This book in the Breeds series had the usual angst, action, romance, and sexy scenes between the characters Aiden and Charity. While it is interesting to read of the ever-expanding Breeds family, I wish the overall story about the Council and the illegal labs would progress faster.

This is the love story of Aiden and Charity. Charity saved Aiden's life while he lived in one of the labs. He can not forgive the means she used to save his life but now they are mated. Now 6 years later they reunite and Aiden still can't forgive Charity but the passion seems to rule them like all Lora Leigh's books.

It was a good book but it just wasn't my favorite. No fault to the book. I still think any Lora Leigh fan would like it.

I really like this book! It gave more info on how the mating actually works, and how it affects and changes each mate. The story was wonderful, and I enjoyed the characters! It had it's share of hot and steamy, but not too much that it ruined the plot.

Im seriously getting worn down and bored with the series. The story line has been put on the back burner all for the sake of making the book like 90% sex scenes. I hope this book will be alittle different otherwise I wont be able to finish the series.

Breeds series #12, and Aiden, the wolf finally meets up with Charity after 6 years. She has escaped from the Lab in Sth America as the Breeds move in to save the winged breeds being held there. He is unaware that she has been experimented on for the last 6 months as the scientists had discovered she is his mate.

They are both angry with each other and once again the story revolves around the female's heat and the final acceptance that they are mates.
