Throughout American Heat, Brown critically discusses the relationship between humans and the world around them. Although, Brown’s central focus of American Heat is political with an emphasis on the United States response, or lack thereof, to the issue of climate change, in order to successfully pose his argument that the United States’ response was unethical he first had to establish that there was a problem.
