This was such a sweet read I didn't want it to end.

Roxy is a single mom who wants all the best for her daughter, if only she could give it to her. When her mom makes a confession on her death bed Roxy's world is turned upside down. Everything she always thought she was may not be who she really is. That in itself opens up a window of possibilities for her and her daughter. The only way for Roxy to find out the truth is hiring an uptown lawyer that can fight on her behalf with uptown pe

I've been ploughing through Barbara Wallace's back-catalogue these past few days and I didn't like this anywhere near as much as the others of her's that I've read.

The heroine was an illogical, irrational moron and I didn't like her at all. I didn't care about her problems, and in fact, hoped her suspicions were incorrect (view spoiler) and I didn't feel the chemistry between the hero and heroine at all.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable read. Convincing plot, believable character growth and a twist I didn't see coming. Definitely recommended!

The Billionaire’s Fair Lady is a delightfully delicious, tale that I devoured in one sitting!

Roxy O’Brien is recovering from the death of her mother when she comes across some old love letter’s that were written by Wentworth Sinclair to her mother. Wentworth was one of the wealthiest men in New York City. The letters were written around the time that Roxy was born. Roxy is convinced that Wentworth may have been her father, so she decides to hire an attorney to help

I love Barb's writing. This was a great story about a down-on-her-luck heroine with a chance to change her life...and the man who needed her lawsuit to succeed to keep his firm afloat. Great chemistry, and the "smoothing out the rough edges" really did make this a "Fair Lady" type story. It has a lovely fairy-tale quality and a cast of great characters that you love - and also a few you love to hate.

Barbara Wallace has been a life-long romantic and daydreamer so it's not surprising she decided to become a writer at age eight. However, it wasn't until a co-worker handed her a romance novel that she knew where her stories belonged. For years she limited her dreams to nights, weekends and commuter train trips while working as a communications specialist, PR freelancer and full-time mom. At the u ...more
