So hmmm.... this is from Samhain Publishing? Really?!

OK with that out of the way, lol, I really enjoyed this. It was a group read in an erotic book group, and ordinarily that would mean lots of juicy smut. But that was NOT the case with this. And honestly, while I wish there'd been a bit of hanky panky, it was still a really good story. I sort of guessed Daniel's story, or at least part of it, but the rest of it had me guessing for a bit. And I really enjoyed how Sarah and Max discovered each ot...more
This is an intriguing story and an entertaining read. Like most Regency heroines, Sarah’s an outspoken, feisty miss, but she’s a little more, since she actually has the nerve to speak out against her uncle and refuses to go through with the marriage. A wonderfully tangled set of family mysteries and coincidences in this one. I was thrown a little by the name of one of the villages early on, since there's a better known place of the same name elsewhere in England, but then again place names do tend to repeat. I definitely need to read the sequel sooner rather than later.
Nice read. There were a lot of conflicts thrown in, kinf of kitchen sink-like, that weren't all resolved, but overall, a nice story.
I will be looking for more by this Author.
No sex scenes at all?! Hmm...
