Mom borrowed this from the library for me - the book includes a modest information section in the front with tips and information on both hypo and hyper thyroid disease. Following are recipes for helping you live a healthy lifestyle.

I enjoyed reading through the information in the front section and found there tips and help that I haven't found elsewhere and greatly encouraged me in my hypothyroid health and what I can do to not *heal* but at least give my thyroid the help it needs to function a

Like other "Everything" books this one is written clearly and methodically. I have been diagnosed with sub-clinical hyperthyroid which is not usually treated with medication and wanted to find out what I could, do/not do or eat/not eat, to help. It is not a fault of the book that there isn't much I can change. There is a lot of information on diet along with meal plans for those with hypothyroid, however. I gave five stars for clarity and completeness and ease of understanding.
Having just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I have been doing research into the foods to avoid or schedule for drug interaction and/or over-all thyroid health and this book was quite comprehensive. The recipes provided include the nutrutional breakdown (calories, carbs, sodium, etc.) which is helpful. Meal plans are also suggested and several resource addresses or websites are given.
