Soul Physicians provides a biblical theology that helps readers to understand people, diagnose problems, and prescribe solutions--biblically. It is used in churches to train lay counselors and spiritual friends. It is used in colleges, graduate schools, and seminaries to equip pastors, counselors, and chaplains. Susan Ellis
Excellent book. Explores historical and biblical soul care (through sustaining and healing) and spiritual direction (through reconciling and guiding) with creation, fall, redemption as the foundation while viewing the person holistically as relational, rational, volitional, emotional, and physical. Very comprehensive.
