The Billie-Jo murder case turned out to be one of the cause celebres of recent years. Her foster father, Sion Jenkins, was charged with her murder and this book tells the heart-breaking story of how that charge came about and how he, and his legal team and friends, fought to prove his innocence.

Recommends it for: True crime lovers
This is a fascinating book written by Sion Jenkins and the respected journalist Bob Woffinden about the murder of Sion Jenkins step daughter in Hastings some years ago.

I find it well researched but one-sided, the characters seem to be all bad or all good but this case has no parallels in English legal history in my opinion, a case of truth being stranger than fiction.

This is a very thought provoking book. It's all from Sion's perspective but his is the only one we haven't heard from really so it is as expected but it really makes you wonder how it all went so wrong.

Frightening to experience through this man how being judged by the police wrongly even before conviction, could happen in this country in this day and age. Also horrible to think that one's partner could hate that deeply to want to harm you that much. Well written though and pleased to see the conviction quashed albeit much too late.
