I recently read Thornton W. Burgess’s autobiography, Now I Remember, and when I started this book, it seemed a little “lightweight” to me in comparison. But of course, it would be! After all, Burgess wrote his life story near the end of his life, after many years of writing books and stories and newspaper columns, while this is his granddaughter’s only published book. The sweetness of it is in her personal recollections of the man she loved so much. I’m glad I read it.
