Afterburn is another book as part of my "Zane Project" and another book I have previously read from Zane. This book, I just found...dull. The sex scenes were good and I enjoyed the story on some level, but it just seemed like a cross between erotica and a Hallmark Channel film. NEVER before have I loved a book so much but given it a rating based solely on its ending. I really like Zane's writing style. I love that she can write romance that's so erotic yet tasteful. I love heroines that are strong, empowered, experienced, and not afraid of admitting that they like sex.

Well this was my first time reading what the bookstore calls Urban Fiction. I realized after I got into it that it's basically Urban Erotica.
I don't think I'll be actively seeking out these books, unless I want some ideas on how to spice things up in the bedroom. But it was a quick read and as I had just visited DC, it was cool recognizing the areas of the main characters.

Wow, I really love the stories that Zane tells. She can get you so caught up in the story that you don't care about what else is going on. I really enjoyed this story. Like many other reviews I read, I was shocked at the ending, however, it remained a good love story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance or contemporary relationship novels.

This book was amazing. The story is told by two main characters. It definitely pulled at my heart strings, made me think and had me wanting more. A lot of people think that Zane's books are explicit but in the NOVEL books she creates amazing storylines that capture your heart and make you think.

I loved this book, it allowed me to really know the characters well. The ending made me cry... the whole book made me cry, I couldnt stop thinking about my significant other though the whole thing. Im not sure how I feel about reading part 2 of Afterburn however.

This was an okay book. I'm not to crazy about Zane books for some reason. This was a very slow one it took them forever to make a move and it was boring. But Rayne's death shocked me.
