Immortal Blood by Magen McMinimy is a fun read! It reminds me a bit of Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series, and I am a huge fan of her, so it's no surprise that I enjoyed this book.

Meet Izzy. She is a successful woman, providing for herself quite nicely. She owns her own home and a shiny, silver Audi (fun!). She goes on a date with Mystery Man, Zander, and it takes a turn for the worst.

Enter Bain. Bain is a Fae Warrior, and Immortal Brother, sworn to protect the human race from the Dark F...more

The twists and turns of this book, will keep you on your toes! This is one of the few books this year that is paranormal in nature, yet it isn’t about vampires or shape shifters!! It was for sure a nice change. During this book, you learn about the angels, and of course the leprechauns.

One thing that I did enjoy about this book completely was how Magen created this world that showed fairy tales to be true. There are the different types, the good and the bad, and the different “levels” of the l...more

Oh jeez, what do I say about this book. It was one of those that I had to put down to make sure that I let everything soak in, but at the same time I didn't want to set it down for fear of forgetting what was happening. It's a different take on a paranormal book, one that can easily capture the reader's attention.

Bain is an immortal brother who does what he's told for his missions but doesn't listen to anyone when it comes to his personal life. He uses his good looks to bed any woman that he wan...more

I downloaded this book because it was free and from the title I assumed it was about vampires, it's not it's about the Fae and I'm not sure why but I've never been particularly fond of Fae books. By the time I started reading I'd forgotten it wasn't vampires and by the time I realised I was hooked, this is a really good read, it has some good characters and the story is interesting and the romance slow building. So all in all a good read and I'll be checking out the next book.

I loved this book. A fresh new twist on fae legends. Hot Hero's and a feisty heroine. It definitely left me wanting more. Can't wait for the next one.

It is such a nice thing to see authors promoting the works of other authors. Two that I see doing it the most on Facebook are Alexia Purdy and Laura Wright. I’m not sure who it was, but one of the many authors I follow on social media alerted me to the works of Magen McMinimy – and I can’t thank them enough.

I decided to take a chance and check out the first in McMinimy’s Immortal Heart series – Immortal Blood. I was so pleasantly surprised by what I discovered within the pages that I can’t stop...more

Wow! I have to say this was an awesome story. One of the most unique in lore I have ever read, and was a refreshing change from the commonly used creature types found in paranormal romance. Ms. McMinimy is an expert storyteller who does a wonderful job of building the romantic tension throughout the whole story, while still building an incredible plotline independent of just the romance. I especially loved the ties and relationships that each of the main characters had with their families (and e...more

4.5 of 5 stars!

Immortal Blood is the story of Bain, a Fey warrior, and Izzy, a lucky event planner, who meet under less than desirable circumstances. When her luck is stolen by the leprechaun Zander, Izzy is forced to rely on Bain’s protection. As life in the human world becomes more and more dangerous, Bain takes Izzy to the Fey world; this was the point where the story really picked up for me because of the love story and the supporting cast. I’m not going to give away spoilers, but the black...more

I received a copy of Immortal Blood from the author in exchange for an honest review. I have to admit that by title alone and never seeing the cover or reading a blurb, I expected this to be about vampires. Although there is mention of vampires, the story is not about them.

I was just on the phone telling my Aunt about this book. I believe what I told her would make a great review. After I read her the blurb, I said "This book has it all... family bonds, adventure, Light and Dark Fae, romance, a...more

Every girl has that one date that is too good to be true. And for Isabelle, or Izzy, as she is called, he goes by the name Zander. Zander is sexy and charming and apparently a very very naughty leprechaun. He has a habit of stealing luck from unsuspecting women who are successful like our girl Izzy. But Zander isn't aware that he isn't going to be able to completely cash in because two Immortals are hot on his heels. So before he can steal all of Izzy's luck he is stopped by Bain & his broth...more

OMG I loved this story, perfect paranormal romance. This book centres around Izzy and Bain, an immortal warrior who protects Izzy but ends up falling in love. It's an unlikely match but amazing nether less. This book had a great story and great plot, love, romance, angst, deceit and family drama. Great characters make for a 'can't put it down read' which grips you from the start. Would recommend and can't wait for the next in this series.

it's not often that you get the opportunity to read a book before it's been published - i was lucky enough to be given that opportunity - Immortal Blood byMagen McMinimy is the first book by this author that i have read -- it will not be the last - Bain and Izzy are meant to be together - they just don't know it at first - their journey in finding each other goes from the world we know to the Fae Middle world - sometimes you just find a character who life you would like to live who goes places y...more

I loved this book. It's fresh, different (in a positive way) and funny as hell.

Izzy doesn't really date and the one time that she decides to go on a date and have some fun is when one of the Dark Fae (a good luck eater) named Zander. It's nearly to late but Izzy is saved by the Light Fae as they are chasing Xander. Bain (so swoon worthy) and Uriah. This is where Izzy starts to have accidents and needs their help but she is stubborn. Magen has created a unique and beautiful world with in depth c...more

Great read

Having read the short story prequel to this series in the Stalkers anthology, I was anxious to see just how the brothers would take care of the leprechaun problem. Having already read Immortal Promise because I'm an idiot and read series out of order, I needed to see how the Fae got to where they are in the third book. I loved this story and the introduction to the Fae world. It has helped me greatly to understand more of what's going on in the third book because it explains all the th...more

I just finished reading Immortal Blood, the first book by Magen McMinimy in the Immortal Heart series and I can say I will be getting all of them.

McMinimy has created and original take on the Fae and the world they live in. They are amazing and different and spectacular. Talk about getting hot and bothered about paranormals... you definitely will. The passion between Izzy and Bain is undeniable. It is deep and hot. I was completely invested in this book and everything about this world.

I have to admit the story turned out to be much better than I thought it would be. Nothing for little teenager girls and I like that. What I totally enjoyed about Magen's style of writing is her type of humor and that she does not explain TOO much about a scene so that you can fantasize a bit yourself. Totally worth a reading, I can't wait to read the 2nd book :)

I loved it. Izzy was spunky and had a lot of fire. Bain was arrogant, but had his sweeter moments. Personally, I can’t wait for more Kale. There is just something about Zander. I want more of him too. I almost felt bad for him in the beginning. By the end I was hoping he would actually do something to redeem himself.
Magen has a different take on the fae, but I loved that. It’s definitely a fast fun read that will leave you wanting more. I’m going to have to read the next as soon as I get a litt...more

It's hard to beat a free book that is a complete story, no cliffhangers, and HEA.

This was a fun paranormal romance with an interesting and unique world. These aren't your normal Faeries. These guys have wings, fangs and superpowers. This was a cross between Dark Lover and Kresley Cole Immortals After Dark: The Clan MacRieve.

I loved the hero(s) in this book but the heroine Izzy, not so much. She was supposed to be fiesty and witty, but I found her annoying and boring. This is written with multip...more

Isabelle was a beautiful, successful woman. The only thing was that she wasn't tied down. She wasn't married and she had no children. And she was in her upper twenties. Lizzy was well aware of her situation every time she saw her younger sister, who was happily married with 2 children of her own. Then she meets Zander and agrees to a date with him. Lizzy's entire world gets turned upside down because of the handsome and dangerous guy. Turns out he is a leprechaun that stole some of her luck. Bec...more

I will start by saying that I am not always a fan of books about the Fae. But so far I have always been a fan of books by Magen McMinimy (I have read several books from her Half Blood Princess series). And this time was not different.

One of the things I really liked about this book was the unique twist this author has on the Fae. I really don’t think I have read any other books that have quite this version of their culture. And I really enjoyed it.

Isabelle (Izzy) has a pretty busy life & doe...more

This book is FANTASTIC!!!! I picked it up this morning and I was not able to sit my kindle down. This book is definitely fresh and new. I love the story line. It is very interesting and it a different take on Fae’s. I love supernatural books, but this one was the best I’ve read this year. I love how the author writes her books. Very unique.
Izzy has her luck taking away from her by a Leprechaun/Dark Fae Luck Eater. Bain is a Light Fae Warrior who is there to protect Izzy. He wants her to go to...more

Immortal Blood is the first book I have read by Magen McMinimy and I absolutely loved it. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end and with Izzy, Bain and his brothers there was never a dull moment. Zander is a luck eating leprechaun who has stolen Izzy’s luck and Bain must protect Izzy while trying to capture Zander and force him to give Izzy back her luck. Bain takes Izzy back to his world where he can protect her but Bain’s mother Lady Esperanza dislike Izzy from the first moment they meet....more

I was given this book by the author in return for an honest review.

What a fab story.
Bain and Izzy are excellent characters and I loved how they met through Zander trying to steal Izzy's luck!
An then to follow them on their journey of trying to get Izzy's luck back and to finding their way back to each other and their love for one another!

Wow, I could not put this book down. I was hooked from the first chapter. Izzy doesn't take any crap from the very HOT Bain! Which, never happens, he has women swooning after him constantly. He even saved her life from Zander.

Bain is arrogant, cocky, and hot. He tells Izzy about what he is and where he is from. Trying to get her to return with him so that he can keep her safe. Izzy, being the stubborn, independent woman she is, doesn't fall for his charms right away and it actually takes a near...more

I was happily surprised with this read. I loved Bain and Izzy. Their chemistry was wonderful. I am lucky enough to get to read Immortal Craving the second book and cannot wait. The Immortal brothers are very interesting and loved them from page 1. A must read for paranormal lovers like me!
Julie
This was a fun paranormal romance. I loved how Izzy was full of sass and not afraid to put Bain in his place. I loved how Bain ( which rhymes with vain & pain, appropriately so) comes to his senses with Izzy. I loved the fae world Ms. McMinimy created and how Bain and his immortal brothers have different talents, and the banter between them all. Kale was my favorite and I can't wait to read his story. As others have mentioned, I would have liked some more backstory on Bain and his evil, horr...more

Fun fantasy of warriors and love.

What a fun story with a new twist on the paranormal. Izzy was attacked by a leprechaun who was stealing her luck through a kiss. Bain was sent to protect humans and rescued Izzy. Since she was missing her luck she was becoming accident prone and Bain needed to bring her back to his world to keep her safe until they could get her luck back. They both realized they were falling in love but Bain's mother had other ideas. The author did a great job with the storylin...more

In this book we have Isabelle, our female lead, a human, and Bain, our male lead, an Immortal warrior. Typical tale of human female ends up in distress and saved by playboy warrior. But then it started to deviate for me. Bain has a past (a child) and Isabelle has strong family ties. So strong that when offered immortality, she turns it down because she can't and won't live without her family. **Read the book to find out what happens.** I was surprised by what Bain went through, and I appreciated...more

This was a free download on my Kindle Fire and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. Izzy was a feisty heroine. Bain was arrogant, sexy and vulnerable by turns. They matched up well and reading the story of how they fell in love was a good way to pass a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon.

The Immortal Fae world as imagined by the other is intriguing enough for me to want to read more of the books.

My only quibble would be the main two characters that the reader can readily identify as 'villans' were n...more

I kind of like to think of myself as a normal lady living a semi normal life. I’m not sure that’s all that accurate; I have a sweet husband and two dogs-my girls- that I think of as my children. I grew up in Sonoma County, California and I never pictured myself moving. Funny because now I live in North Idaho and I love it here, I love the summers; camping, bar-b-ques with friends, and the farmers...more

“I knew you’d come around” Bain mused.
“Excuse me?” Izzy asked irritated by his smug tone, but she had been totally checking him out.
“You see something you like sweetheart, I can tell.” He smirked.
“You are incredibly arrogant” she accused.
“True.”
