****This book is part of a blog tour, I was given a copy in exchange for my honest review.*****
This was a book of loss, love, hope and self realization.
Sterling, our leading lady, has lost love ones and watched others she loved dear lose those closest to them, and she will be damned if she will let that happen to her.
So she gives up her job as a cop, breaks up with the love of her life and settles for a "safe" existence, guarding her heart from the chance of more unbearable pain.
Ben, is living

LOVED this book! The main character Sterling Aegar and her sister Lacey have had the worst time dealing with the death of their father. He was a police officer and was killed in the line of duty, within a short time Lacey’s husband Nick was killed in the line of duty and Sterling quit the force. Together they open their own private investigation office. I was thinking about all the juicy sub stories and we got a big one. Man cheats on the wife and the girlfriend is dead. This story totally unfol

From the minute Detective Ben Kirby walks back into her life, Private Investigator Sterling Aegar has to fight for control – of her career, her life – and her heart.

After losing her father and brother-in-law in separate line of duty accidents, Sterling ended her relationship with Ben. She couldn't bear to lose him the same way. Two years later, she has a successful PI business with her sister, Lacey. A dead body brings Ben back into her life, pitting them against each other when they should be w

R.T. Wolfe review of Lynn Crandall’s Dancing with Detective Danger

Take some murder, a fake identity, infidelity, kidnapping and a few crooked cops. Add private investigator Sterling Aegar who is fighting to keep her heart safe from the only man who can break it. Incredibly sexy detective Ben Kirby likes the rush of his job even though it haunts him. They are the perfect match. Getting Sterling to realize this is another story.

I flew through this novel. It’s a fast paced, action packed romantic

Recommends it for: Fans of second chance romance with a happily ever after.
Although Dancing with Detective Danger is categorized as a romantic suspense, there’s a surprisingly fair amount of sweetness infused into the story. You get the feeling that the author, Lynn Crandall, wanted to let the reader know how much faith and belief she has in the power of love. And this book certainly delivered on that idea, making this book a nice sweet read encased in a murder mystery storyline.

One of the aspects of the book I appreciate are the reasons behind the character’s behavior

To start out, Lynn just so happened to write my favorite kind of Romance, a second chance romance. I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the angsty built-up feelings, all the heat and physical attraction that has only gotten stronger over the years, and all the same old issues that ALWAYS seem to still get in t

My Review:
Sterling and Ben were both cops when they were dating, but then Sterling's brother-in-law who was also a cop was killed in the line of duty and Sterling panicked. After growing up watching her mother grieve for Sterling's father, also a cop, Sterling just can't risk her heart that way. She won't be in love with a cop just to watch him die and break her heart. So she left both Ben and the force.

When this book takes place, it's been two years since those events. Sterling runs a successfu

This was a good story. I was intrigued that it involved a private investigator who was working an infidelity case that exploded into so much more. Sterling is a former cop and private investigator who works with her sister Lacey. Lacey was widowed two years prior when her husband, Nicholas was killed in the line of duty.

While working the case the sisters discover a body and with that discovery, in walks Ben. Ben had been engaged to Sterling two years ago and she had left him and the force after

Finding a dead body is the least of private investigator Sterling Aegar’s problems. It’s the living, breathing, delicious body of Detective Ben Kirby that causes the problems, and the butterflies and the angst.

Readers meet Sterling and Ben in Lynn Crandall’s exciting new novel, “Dancing With Detective Danger,” a romantic suspense set for release Jan. 21 by Crimson Romance. Ms. Crandall strikes a chord with anyone who believes that love never dies, whether pa

Um, what did I just read.......the worst cop love story

First of all, this was written without a good flow. The writing, in my opinion, was all over the place. There was so many side stories and other things going on in the book, I almost forgotten about the supposed main characters, Sterling and Ben, story. It wasn't hard to forget about them, because there was absolutely no chemistry, no detailed backstory of their past relationship to make me feel their connection to each other. I work in law

After two years of being apart, Sterling and Ben meet at the scene of a murder. For Ben, it's as if they had never been apart. Pain and loss from Sterling's past is preventing her from being with the person she loves, to keep herself from getting hurt again. But seeing Ben every day is making it harder to keep her distance from him, physically and emotionally. A moving second chance romance with gripping suspense and an intriguing mystery mixed in. Then there is Sterling's sister Lacey who is a ...more

A good intrigue with romance

I really enjoyed this book and the story held my attention the whole time. Sterling was a strong woman with a lot of heart ache but still kept going. Ben never stopped loving Sterling and he will melt your heart. The intrigue was good and it all ended well.
