I bought this book off the clearance table at Deseret Book awhile back simply because it was a good deal. I have yet to read a church biography I didn’t like (yes, I’m a history geek), and at $3.99 for the thick hardback, how could I pass it up??

Little did I realize then how much I owe to Sister Kapp and how inspiring her story is.

When I was twelve, I entered the Young Women program in our church. I was given a medallion with the Young Women logo on it and a Personal Pr More...

After reading this fascinating biography of Ardeth Greene Kapp I thought, "I hope I can be like her when I grow up." Ardeth grew up in a small town in Canada where nearly everyone was related to each other. After years of struggling in school and having the principal telling her parents that she "wasn't college material" the decision was sent to send her to Provo, Utah to finish her last year in high school. There she blossomed as a student and learned the important lesson More...

The book is really good, Ardeth Kapp is amazing! Her story has humble beginnings but leads to a life of profound experiences all over the world. She is a great example of faith and obedience. Sister Kapp's husband was my mission president, so it was particularly fun to read about that part of her life (Vancouver Canada mission). I recently had a reunion with the Kapps. I wanted to read this before the get together. Most of the stories I have heard, but some things I didn't know. Anita Tho More...

I was very inspired by this amazing woman, Ardeth Greene Kapp. Although she grew up very ordinary, by submitting her will to the Lord's, she has accomplished amazing things and touched SO many lives. I picked up this book in hopes that it would make me a more understanding friend to those dear friends of mine who are unable, or have had a hard time bearing children. I was not disapointed. After finding out that she would never bear a child, she was comforted and strengthened by the scripture More...

Ardeth Kapp is an amazing women. I remember the value programs being introduced and the letting go of the balloons that were introduced in the book. She was the Pres. while I was in Young Womens and she holds a special place in my heart. Biographies like this, however, where only the wonderful and positive are introduced leave me feeling a little off balance in my own life. That being said, she is definitely a women to be emulated.

Amazing woman. Very inspiring. Hard working, positive, talented, dedicated, focused, faithful. Everything I would like to be... I enjoyed reading this book, but it wasn't a page turner by any stretch. I usually read about 50 pages between other books, so it took me months to actually finish it.

This book was wonderful! After reading, I found a new hero, one that I knew I could try to be like because she was a real, breathing, human being! Loved this book.

I love Ardeth Kapp, I love biographies, I love lives lived well and with valor. But I had a very difficult time reading this book. It is so poorly written. I could complete the sentences before I had read them. Even after putting it down a few times and then trying to pick it up after a hiatus - it was the same. I would recommend Ardeth Kapp's life to all young men and women, just don't read the book.

This is one of the best books I've ever read. It is inspiring, uplifting and gives the reader a sense of being able to accomplish anything after understanding Sis. Kapp and what she went through in her life. I recommend this book highly! I plan on reading it again, as soon as I get it back from my friend.

This is a biography of a woman who was a wonderful church leader. She lives her life by the scripture, "Filling the measure of your creation." Sister Kapp and her husband never had children, but they are great examples of moving beyond that, and living the most meaningful lives possible.

I read this right after I was called to YW's and was very inspired by it. She is an amazing example and it was fascinating to read about her and her efforts to bring about Personal Progress. I would recommend this even if you don't work with the youth but as a must-read if you do.

I loved reading this! She is such an amazing person that makes me want to do better. I haven't even met her, but I love this woman. She and her husband have given so much for the church and are so willing to help out in whatever capacity the Lord needs them to.

Wow! What an amazing woman. I can't believe all that she has accomplished and all that she stands for. Truly an inspiration for trusting in God and his plan for each of us. I felt that I truly could become better because of her story.

Found this for two bucks on a clearance sale. She was the General Young Women President when I turned 12. I always thought she was amazing and classy and just exuded love. I'm excited to read: so far, so good!

Really interesting women. I especially liked reading about her struggles with infertility as you don't often get that view in the church.
