I've started this one a couple of times and was unable to get into it. Newly divorced, she steals a 100,000 horse (hers) from her ex-husbands home and flees. There were so many things that sat wrong with me, horses, stealing, lack of common sense, etc. I gave this one up.
Loved every minute of the book, and sent me to places I would only read about. Great storyline I thought, Recommended to people at work and they were also impressed, off to find more of Genell's books.
This book has a good hero, IMHO. And believe it or not, books with good heroes aren't that easy to find. So if you like stories with good heroes and real cowboys, I recommend this one.
Very possibly my favorite of the walgreens romance novels ive picked up. Its all about the cowboys and breathless hot chicks on the open range. Guilty read? yes. worth it? oh yes.

so far so good - really great story love the chemistry between Jake and Clea. The characters of Buck and Teddy provided some pure comic relief. Wonderfully written. Would read it again...

Montana is a magical place to Genell. Late in the 1800s, Westerners called it "The Last Best Place" and to her it seems to be so still today. The enormity of the sky and the mountains, the few people with so much space and so much strength, and the land that seems to go on forever hold a powerful attraction that she loves to use for the background of her books.

Genell is also a lifelong rodeo fan....more
