This is the story of Kevin Locke and his plight to preserve his heritage and culture as a Lakota Indian. The book examines the many aspects of Lakota life including their traditions and beliefs. This non-fiction book was very well written and would be an asset to any school setting. I loved how it is set in modern day so that students can see that some native american tribes are still very active today.
