This book brought tears to my eyes. 7-year-old Lily lives in a shelter with her mother because they left her father, who is violent and abusive. This book was heart warming. I was an addvocate for the YWCA before I had my son; and I saw what living in a shelter did to those children--they had a really hard time adjusting to having to leave everything familar to them and children really don't understand the adult relationships.
I was suprised and pleased with this book. The text was good and the pictures were beautiful.

Luckily for Susin, they saw a spark in a spec script she wrote....more
