Morris Lurie is a master of the tragi-comic short story. At turns charming, funny and moving, this collection of recent stories reveals a mature artist still retaining playful wit.

A winner of the Patrick White award, Lurie seems to be falling into obscurity which is a great shame. Well worth seeking out.
