A compelling tale barely begins to describe this book. With vivid descriptions of location, memories, and experiences, Levinson makes the reader truly feel as though he/she is present throughout the war. Neither sugarcoating nor sensationalizing the historical events between Serbs and Muslims, this book dramatizes the events of one fictitious man in what seems a very real way. It cannot be recommended highly enough. The writing is superb and the content gripping.
