Recommends it for: aspiring writers
This book offers a great deal of information to help one create, develop, organize and build on ideas for writing novels. I found it inspirational to help me tackle a rewrite I've just completed. I highly recommend it.

A a sic how to book on the steps of writing a novel. Covers choosing genre, developing characters, outlining plot, and other related skills. Also includes refining and polishing your work.

i would not recommend it, skip this and go straight to The Complete Handbook of Novel Writing if you're so eager to learn about writing before you write.
