The delirium of ennui.

This is, of course, a strange book. Structurally, it resembles Communion, which it both inspired and is surpassed by. Three parts: 1. an emergence out of confusion, 2. a central endless repetition structure, numbing and creepingly horrifying (though highly absurd, at times funny, it must be noted), and 3. a collapse into chaos that may or may not give a kind of resolution. Unlike the tightly-coiled three-part repetition cycle of Communion, I suspected, in the central sectio
