Although this is an interesting read there is no new information available in this book. It feels a little like the author has read all the current books available about the Queen and put together their favourite parts.

The book tends to focus on the positive aspects of the reign which although interesting would have been enhanced with some of the more difficult parts. Diana, Camilla and Charles are barely touched and although the book did not need to go over this story in detail as it has been t

Brian Hoey is one of the united Kingdom's best informed royal chroniclers. He has written a wide variety of books on the royal family.

He was one of the BBC's first television newscasters and has been a writer and broadcaster for over 40 years at 2002.

He lives in South Wales with his wife and the couple have three grown-up children.
