This cookbook is very helpful because it lists the recipes by side effects. It can be difficult to help yourself or a loved one maintain good nutrition during chemo with the various side effects encountered, but I find that some of these recipes will help in most situations.

This has been an incredibly helpful resource.

Most cookbooks are broken down by meal, i.e. breakfast, snacks, salads, lunches, dinners, sauces, desserts, etc. This one is broken down by chemo reaction, i.e. constipation, mouth sores, taste alteration (meaning everything tastes weird or has no flavor at all), diarrhea, etc. The recipes in each section are also keyed for other sections so the fruit smoothie is good for relieving constipation but it is also helpful for tight throats and flavorlessne

Because I have Gastroparesis, I picked up this book at the library. I wanted to find foods that I could eat that would be easy to digest for someone with my condition. This book gave me creative ideas beyond plain mashed potatoes and applesauce. The instructions are clear and the steps are easy. The pictures make everything look fantastic! Personally I was more partial to the very similar Cancer fighting Kitchen but this book was really good. It was very helpful how The recipes were broke up into what helps what Symptoms.
