This is so funny, much more so than I thought when I first bought and listened to it some years ago.

Facts and Fancies offers an intersection of Larry David-esque cringe with the British witticisms of Chris Morris. For those not yet primed by more accessible UK comedy such as Black Books or Fawlty Towers, Iannucci's utterly dry humour is likely unpalatable, but in contrast with something like Jam, it may seem a little plain. Ultimately, it is a satirisation of modern white, middle-class life that may do more to alienate than unite.

I got the audiobook of this read by the man himself. It was superb, which is what you should always be prepared for with Mr. Iannucci. I especially love the section on "Them." It's lovely the second and third times around as well.

The best comedy writer working in television today, and this book of newspaper columns proves he's just as inventive in print. Word is that he's just put the finishing touches on his first feature film "In the Loop" starring James Gandolfini. It should be a cracker.

The misses in this anthology are a bit woeful but thankfully it's mostly hits, some of which are laugh out loud funny.
