Recommends it for: people who need to be tortured
Fox-Genovese claims to be a conservative (or she was one, rather, she died in 2007), but the vast majority of this book reads like it was written by some run-of-the-mill, rabid, hate-mongering, radical/militant, extreme-left, second-wave feminist. Not that an actual conservative viewpoint would have been much of an improvement, but compared to what is presented here, I think even someone like Phyllis Schlafly would have been preferable.
