Ian Hammond
Holland is not a Christian, but he doesn't have an agenda either. Most people write about this topic in order to either undermine the religion of the Israelites or prove that there was some sort of pre-Jesus movement. He seems disinterested in that discussion for the most part.
This is not a comparative study but a survey of the Near Eastern religious cultures.
