The previous comments regarding "outdated" are, in my opinion, misguided since the focus of this book is more on the fundamentals and foundation of RF circuit design which HAS NOT changed since the first edition of the book was written. Reading it is like a class in RF design with explained, detailed exercises, leaving nothing to guess.

This books is a great introduction to RF filters and amplifiers. It has derivations for some of the key equations, but for the most part just presents equations. While some of the circuits described are presented in a cook-book fashion, there are lots of details about how and why they work.

This book is great for understanding filters, matching, and low power amplifiers. It's not as great for understanding mixers, high power amplifiers, and other topics.

Turns the black art of RF circuit design a lighter shade of grey. There are many useful tables and subcircuit analysis references to be found within these pages.

RF circuit level design straight to the point, no gimmick book. This book reminds me of the US Navy, it's like one of those books that military press would publish.
