J Simpson
i am currently reading this and i totally love it. It is a collection of short SF stories, more on the whimisical 'magical realism' side of the street, a la Ray Bradbury. Not quite as far out as Harlan Ellison, but in a similar arena. It is easy to read and enjoyable, he has interesting word usage to derivate from the usual humdrum, and he is able to imbue his characters with depth, probably drawn on from his own experience. I like it, and maybe you will to.
