PULL A FAST ONE? NOT ON THE SISTERHOOD'S WATCH. . .

There are some things that a group of gracious ladies just can't overlook—and doing one of their friends dirty is at the top of the list. That's the mission of the Sisterhood, seven women who would do anything to help out one of their clan, especially when it means righting a wrong. And Isabelle Flanders has definitely bee

This book in the series seemed unfinished. Fern Michaels normally cleans up the loose ends in the epilogue, but not this time. Did Isabelle keep the architect offices? What about Bobby, her ex? That was left unresolved. Fern even had an opening for Isabelle to explain her side of things and for Bobby and her to get on the same page about what happened, but instead she had Isabelle push him out the door and that's it. Case closed. A bit more time should have been spent on this one instead of tryi ...more

This book was funny, entertaining and interesting to read.

Sisterhood #5

Isabelle's name was drawn at the end of the last book now it is time for her revenge. Isabelle was an architect heading to a client when her right hand gal/collleague, Rosemary, ran a stop sign killing three people. With Isabelle knocked out Rosemary blamed the accident on Isabelle and accused her of stealing her (Rosemary's) design. After the courts and lawyers got through with Isabelle she was broke, lost her firm, house, carrer, her engament to Bobby...basically everything she wo

Who says revenge isn't sweet? This revenge is one of the sweetest I have ever seen. This team of women know how to turn wrongs into well rights...

I liked this one, but it didn't have the fire of the first few in the series. It focused a lot on the target, which certainly provided perspective, but I missed the ink that was formerly devoted to developing the core characters. Even Isabelle, whose mission this was, seemed neglected to me. She really wasn't in the story very much. There was also a plot inconsistency that was unexplained, and that bothered me. (The bit about Rosemary's invitation - this doesn't give anything away by means of a ...more

Book 5 in the Sisterhood series, this time it's Isabelle's turn for revenge.

Isabelle was a very talented architect, engaged to be married to fellow architect Bobby. She worked with Rosemary Hershey, who was jealous of Isabelle. Rosemary was driving a car with Isabelle in it when she ran a stop sign & the resulting accident killed a young family. Isabelle had been taking many doses of cough syrup for a cold and was knocked out in the accident with no recollection of what had happened. Rosemar

I might have missed something here, but I have no idea how the problem was solved. This book just seemed like an excuse for a bunch of older gals to pretend to be rock stars.

Isabelle Flanders was an architect, one of the most successful around. She hired an assistant, Rosemary, who seemed to be wonderful at first, but she ended up taking credit for work she didn't do, framing Isabelle for a drunk driving accident where Rosemary was the driver, and stealing her fiance. She calls upon the Sisterho

Revenge is a common theme in literature, drama, and other arts, popular because the desire for revenge is an easily understood emotion. In many of these works, tragedy is compounded when the person seeking revenge realizes he has become what he wished to destroy. However, in Fern Michaels SWEET REVENGE the execution and fulfillment of the revenge scenario is depicted as satisfying and cathartic.

If emotional detachment and planning are the best means by which to exact one’s “pound of flesh” then

Another win for the ladies of Pinewood.

As always, the ladies of the sisterhood win again. I love this series about getting revenge for the wrongs the law can't do anything about. Fern Michael's is a joy to read and can hardly wait to start the next book in the series. If you haven't read any of the Sisterhood series, you are missing some highly entertaining reading.

This book was beyond ridiculous. Part of the revenge was well thought out, but then it reached a point where someone could have gotten killed. The last part of the story went way over the top in actions that could have landed the revenge seekers in prison. All that money and effort could have just gone toward reestablishing Isabelle's career and helping the victimized family.

It was okay, but the language was not good, which was a negative for me. Also it appeared to be a sequel, or part of a series. Although the author tried to explain things, having not read the earlier books seemed to diminish the experience of reading this book. It would have been nice if it had been a stand alone read, but as it was I felt as if I stepped into the middle of something.

Though I am not a "sister" I really enjoyed this book by Fern Michaels. This is the first of the five Revenge of the Sisterhood series and I will start looking for the others. The plot is certainly interesting and the by-play between the characters is well done. I enjoyed it.

My best friend's mom got me started on this series with the first five books. This is a series of 20 books that lead you on the adventures of several women seeking revenge for crimes the court system couldn't or wouldn't provide well deserved justice. They have the financial backing and resources to formulate well thought out plans and see them through to complete them. Each mission takes on new danger and suspense and the lines between legally right and morally right become blurred. Even those ...more

Another good book from this series I'm redoing to do in the proper order. I listened to this on my way to work and now that I'm working 5 days a week .. which isn't so great ... at least I go through audio books rapidly in my 10 hours a week drive time.

A family killed, a reputation ruined and the culprit walks away with over a million bucks. How is that justice? It isn't and that is why the Sisterhood is going to remedy it and in a very creative way!

This is the 5th book in the Sisterhood series. They are delightful and entertaining reads!

Isabelle

This story pertains to Isabelle's revenge. It was well written and the revenge was fun to read. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Darlene Mis
The suspense in this book kept my interest. I knew how it was going to end, or I figured revenge would be obtained but had no idea how. A lot of characters in a variety of roles.

Sweet Revenge by Fern Michaels is the latest book I have read in the Sisterhood series. I have really enjoyed these books. The original seven sisters are the ones I care about. I have begun to notice that the endings are starting to be rushed. The revenge seems to be getting more cruel and unpleasant.

Another good installment in this series. Gotta love all the quirky goings on of this group of women who seek to right the injustice done to them.

loved the book, but don't like the past being repeated, since I have read the previous books. Just love the way the girls get their revenge.

Isabelle's turn for revenge on Rosemary Hershey. Rosemary was driving the car that ran a stop sign and killed a family. Isabelle was in the passenger seat but in the aftermath of the accident Rosemary said Isabelle was driving. Rosemary also contrived to steal Isabelle's business, fiance and win a law suit naming Isabelle. The plan for justice was more crafty than violent this time. The gold shields are still lurking waiting to settle the score with Jack and Ted. Jack is able to bale the women o ...more
