This is the third book by the author Jamie Ivey(who was a lawyer in London), and tells of how he and his wife Tanya found a strong love for Rose wine while visiting France on holiday. They are in their early thirties when they decide to give up their lucrative professional lives in England and in this book tells us of their experiences as they try to put into reality a dream of selling Rose in markets around the Provence region. A charming story very much in the style of Carol Drinkwater's "The olive farm" books only instead of olives as the name suggests this series of books deals in wine.
The story revolves around Tanya and the author Jamie as they struggle to gain a permit to sell wine in the French markets and actually succeed in making a living from their adventure.
What starts off as a dream of leaving the London rat race for a better way of life turns into an unexpected nightmare as the pair hit financial problem

Jamie Ivey has written one of the most enveloping books about life in the south of France and the food culture that surrounds it. From the first page I was drawn into his story and dreamed at night of Provence. He captured the area perfectly and tells an amusing tale as life as a wine purveyor in French markets.
