Rounded up from a 3.5. What I really love about this series is how every book is like an episode and that you get a segment of Love's life. This really set the pace for Love from London which I'm excited to start. Again, there are some plots that are breezed through (like Love and Charlie) but I'm hopeful they arise again in later books. Would recommend this to teens or young adults.

Fall in love with Love Bukowski. She's rich (the $600 pants were denied her but we assume anything under that would be fine), intelligent (and with pressure too--her Dad's the president of her prep school), and gorgeous (this is abundantly clear by every edible guy within three years of her age and three continents of her location eying her with open, albeit ambiguous, how-on-earth-should-she-interpret-that interest). Growing up, Emily Franklin wanted to be “a singing, tap-dancing doctor who writes books.”

Having learned early on that she has little to no dancing ability, she left the tap world behind, studied at Oxford University, and received an undergraduate degree concentrating in writing and neuroscience from Sarah Lawrence College. Though she gave serious thought to a career in medicine, eventually that ca
