the wholest, the comprehensive

only those two words i bear for prof frank lees (late), one of the founding father of process safety engineering discipline of knowledge. this book reviews all aspect of process safety, from reliability of the equipment to the explosion effect on the shattered glass house. from facility siting and lay out to the human factor in the process safety. from fire to the mechanical integrity. wholly.

There was the early two volume orange set, then the even further expanded 1996 three volume set. For its time, the bible of loss prevention / safety engineering. Sadly he died, and then the follow up by Sam Mannan was fairly appalling, with seeming no updates except putting his name on the cover.
