Lise Baltzer om: Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. Distinctive Features

Denne fine lille bog tilbyder et godt overblik over MBCT-kursusprogrammet. An excellent survey of the MBCT course. The intended audience is CBT therapists, but it's a good introduction for anyone who want to know, clearly and in detail what is entailed, but not at great length. As a practitioner myself, who has been taught by Rebecca Crane, the material wasn't new, but it is well expressed and a useful reference point. She combines her clarity with sensitivity and an awareness of where clarity alone no longer helps.

I attended workshops to be effective in MBCT approach because some of my clients get a lot out of this approach. Whilst this book explains both CBT model and mindfulness skills, I still think, it is better if you have some understanding in both mindfulness skills and CBT model before you pick this book up.

A succinct and comprehensive breakdown of the theory and delivery of the MBCT programme. It helped me gain a quick and detailed overview of what MBCT is and its aims, which enabled me to better formulate criticisms of it, from the perspective of contemplative practice.

A great book, especially if you know a bit of both mindfulness and CBT. Great inspiration in my work as a hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner.
